Confirmation is the third and final sacrament of initiation. Here those receiving the sacrament are sealed with the gifts (wisdom, understanding, counsel, fortitude, knowledge, piety, and fear of the Lord (wonder) and fruits (love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control) of the Holy Spirit and considered to be ‘full’ members of God’s church.

The sacrament takes place every two years here in Templemore and the fifth and sixth class girls and boys from the four primary schools of the parish, Killea, Clonmore, St Colmcille’s and St Joseph’s come together in the Sacred Heart Church, Templemore where the sacrament is conferred on them by the Archbishop of Cashel and Emly.

Congratulations to the children of the parish who received the Sacrament of Confirmaitons on Friday 5th April at 11.00am in Sacred Heart Church, Templemore. It was a great occasion for them, their families, the schools of the parish and for this community.  May they continue to be witnesses to Jesus in their daily lives. The occasion was greatly enhanced by the bright sunshine on all those who gathered to be part of this special sacrament.
